 Profile

Chadd Sayers has been runner-up in the last two seasons for the Bradman Medal, the trophy awarded by the umpires for the best player in the SACA A Grade. A Woodville player, last season he took 55 wickets at 14.65 with his fast medium, this time around he returned 38 at 20.79. He can also swing the ball at pace. His father Dean represented South Australia in three games in the early eighties. His brother, Aaron, has played for South Australia second XI so cricket is clearly in the family, although this Sayers (predictably nicknamed Leo) wants to be an AFL scout when he retires from this game. But he's hardly started in cricket yet - on a rookie contract currently, he could be one for the future.
