 Profile

A latecomer to first-class cricket, Danny McLauchlan made his Pura Cup debut in 2006-07 at the age of 29. A left-arm fast bowler, McLauchlan had only moved from Sydney to Perth at the start of the summer in an effort to develop his cricket career and found himself lining up against Victoria near the end of the season as a replacement for the injured Brett Dorey. McLauchlan impressed with debut match figures of 5 for 101 and he made a brisk 20 not out. He played the Warriors' final game and collected another three wickets, helping him earn a state contract for 2007-08. However, he could not find his way back into the first-class setup that season and lost his contract after only a year. In 2007-08 he managed six wickets from six one-day games and five victims at 38.40 in the Twenty20 competition.
