Simon Roberts spent a seecond season as a South Australia rookie in 2007-08 after making his first appearance in state colours the previous summer. A top-order batsman and excellent fielder, Roberts was included in the Redbacks' squads several times in 2006-07 but usually ended up as 12th man. His only game was a Twenty20 outing against Queensland when he made 6 from eight balls and that remains his only appearance for South Australia in the last two years.
