Profile
Peter Forrest made a solid start to his first-class career when he was called into the New South Wales side late in 2006-07. He opened with 40 against Queensland and followed up with 61 batting at No. 3 against Tasmania. However, he was squeezed out of the line-up for the Pura Cup final after Ben Rohrer's debut century moved him ahead in the queue. A right-handed batsman, Forrest spent three seasons on the New South Wales rookie list before being upgraded to the senior squad for 2007-08. Last summer he displayed more of his promise in a campaign that was highlighted by 177 against Tasmania. In eight Pura Cup games he managed 430 runs at 30.71 and was handed a stint at the Academy for the winter. Cricinfo staff September 2008
