India's new coach Gary Kirsten has arrived in Bangalore and will attend the selection committee meeting on Monday to choose the team for the first two Tests against South Africa. The selectors, including the chairman Dilip Vengsarkar, will reach Bangalore on Monday.

Meanwhile, the National Cricket Academy (NCA) is waiting on confirmation from Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Ishant Sharma on their fitness before the selection. Several Indian players including Anil Kumble, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, RP Singh and VRV Singh have already passed fitness tests at the NCA.

South Africa will arrive in Chennai on March 21 for three Tests, the first of which begins at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on March 26. The second and third Tests will be played in Ahmedabad and Kanpur between April 3-7 and 11-15 respectively.
