 Profile

Graham Reynolds was a talented all-round sportsman who played football for Newport County and cricket for Glamorgan. He excelled at Exeter University where he represented them at both sports, and in 1958-59 won the first of several amateur football caps for Wales. His opportunities were limited by his chosen career as a teacher but he played for Glamorgan 2nd XI in 1962 as a lower middle-order batsman and medium-pace opening bowler. He made his first-team debut in 1970 against the touring Jamaicans and played his one Championship game the following summer. He also played 11 John Player League games between 1969 and 1971. In 1972 he led the county to the final of the Warwick Pool Under-25 competition. After retiring he was a scout for Tottenham Hotspur - who he had supported since boyhood - and was Glamorgan's School Liaison Officer.
