 Profile

Tanmay Srivastava is a left-hand batsman who made his first-class debut for Uttar Pradesh against Rest of India in the 2006-07 Irani Trophy. He also scored a century in the 2008 Ranji Trophy final and his strong performances with the bat on the Under-19 tour to South Africa has made him a key player in India's squad for the U-19 World Cup in Malaysia in 2008. He did not disappoint, finishing as the tournament's top scorer with 262 runs, including a vital 43 in India's victory in the final against South Africa. Srivastava admires Rahul Dravid for his batting skills and his ability to lead from the front.
