Barbados 58 for 2 (Haynes 22*, Hinds 11*) trail Guyana 185 (Sarwan 55, Hinds 4-14) by 127 runs
Scorecard
Guyana crumbled to 185 all out to hand defending champions Barbados the advantage on the first day at the Kensington Oval. Captain Ramnaresh Sarwan, who scored a century and a half-century in the first round, made a defiant 55, but the Guyanese tail hardly provided any resistance, with the last five wickets falling for seven runs. Guyana made a solid start going into lunch at 74 for 2 but Narsingh Deonarine's flick off the third ball after the break ended up in the hands of Sharmarh Brooks and Travis Dowlin fell lbw. Guyana would have been in further trouble if Dwayne Smith had held on to a chance from Sarwan off Kemar Roach. Part-time left-arm spinner Ryan Hinds sparked the late-order collapse and was Barbados' leading wicket-taker, finishing with figures of 4 for 14. In reply, Barbados had reached 58 for 2 before bad light ended play with four overs remaining.

Windward Islands 78 for 3 (Bascombe 42) trail Leeward Islands 201 (Tonge 57, Shillingford 6-66) by 123 runs
Scorecard
Offspinner Shane Shillingford took six wickets as Leeward Islands were limited to 201 by Windward Islands at the National Cricket Stadium in St George's, Grenada. They reached their modest total thanks to a 71-run stand between Gavin Tonge and Anthony Martin for the last wicket. While Martin contributed only 14 to the partnership, Tonge made an aggressive 57. He carted five fours and three sixes and helped give the Leewards bowlers something to bowl at. Leewards' 35-run opening stand was broken by a direct hit from mid-on from Hyron Shallow, who also ran out Steve Liburd (26). Shillingford then tore through the middle order as Leewards collapsed from 79 for 2 to 130 for 9 before Tonge performed his rescue act. Windwards responded with 71 for 3, on the back of Miles Bascombe's 42, which included four fours and three sixes.

Jamaica 103 for 2 (Marshall 50*) lead Combined Campuses and Colleges 99 (Wilkinson 34, Brown 4-14) by 4 runs
Scorecard
Combined Campuses and Colleges were skittled out for 99 after being sent in by Jamaica at the Kensington Park in Kingston. Legspinner Odean Brown, who took ten wickets against Leeward Islands in the first round, continued his good form with a four-wicket haul. A lowly score was not on the cards after Simon Jackson and Kurt Wilkinson made thirties to guide their side to a respectable 91 for 3. Brown then engineered an astonishing collapse as the last seven wickets fell for eight runs, with Brown ending up with superb figures: 9-2-14-4. Jamaica consolidated on their bowling performance, finishing the day on 103 for 2, with opener Xavier Marshall remaining unbeaten on 50. No. 3 Tamar Lambert supported Marshall, making 30 in a 68-run second-wicket stand.
