India 127 for 1 (Sohal 68*, Srivastava 32*) beat England 194 (Brown 109, Chawla 4-25) by 69 runs (D/L method)

India made it back-to-back victories as they beat England by 69 runs after Duckworth-Lewis decided the result in Kuala Lumpur. Karl Brown, the Lancashire batsman, struck an impressive 109, but India were well ahead of the rate when the rain arrived.

However, Brown walked away with the man-of-the-match award for his century, which came out of a disappointing England effort of 194. Adam Lyth (24) was the only other player to pass 20 as they fell away from 118 for 2.

Piyush Chawla, who took five against Malaysia on Saturday, added four more to his tally as he perplexed the middle and lower order. Brown's valiant 131-ball innings, which included nine fours and five sixes, was eventually ended by Ishant Sharma and England couldn't bat out their overs.

Steven Finn handed them a boost with the early wicket of Ravi Teja, but from that point onwards it was plain sailing for India. Sunny Sohal and Tanvay Srivastava added 114 at more than a run-a-ball. England captain Greg Wood tried seven bowlers in just 21 overs, but when the players left the field the result was set to be a formalility for India and the calculations confirmed it.
