Yorkshire's captain Darren Gough won the Christmas Special of Strictly Come Dancing, his third such title, despite not having danced for two years.

Gough, who lifted the Strictly Come Dancing crown in 2005, scored the maximum 40 points in the Christmas Day show. Mark Ramprakash, who won the title in 2006, finished third on 38 points.

Gough and partner Lilia Kopylov followed up their 2005 success with victory in the Christmas Special later that year but has not been in action since.
