Manuel and Meaker added to U-19 squad

Jack Manuel has been included in the England Under-19 squad for their two-Test series against New Zealand Under-19s as cover for the injured Alex Wakely who is doubtful with a hand injury.

Stuart Meaker, who already has U-19 experience, has also been called up as a replacement for Ben Sanderson who has a broken finger. Sanderson will be reassessed before the second Test.

The two-match series begins in Taunton on Saturday with the second game starting on August 1 at New Road, Worcester.

The selectors also announced a 14-man squad for the ODI series which follows, and included Hamza Ramiuddin of Hampshire and James Harris of Glamorgan.

The one-dayers kick off with back-to-back matches in Canterbury on August 8 and 9 before heading further south to Hove for a floodlit match on August 11. The tour will finish at Northampton with two televised live games on August 14 and 15.
