Chris Cairns, the former New Zealand allrounder, is set to return to the big stage after being named in MCC's match against Europe this Thursday at Lord's. And entry is free.

Darren Bicknell, the former Notts player, is also in the line-up to take on a strong Europe side for the 50-over match. Rob Turner, the ex-Somerset player, will be captain and wicketkeeper, and he leads a team including Kenya's Hitesh Modi and the former Yorkshire and Middlesex left-arm fast bowler Paul Hutchison.

Coloured clothing will be worn and a white ball used for the game which begins at 11.30am. The match will be a return fixture after last year's successful experiment in Rotterdam, a five-wicket win for MCC.

MCC Darren Bicknell, Aakash Chopra, Toby Bailey, Hitesh Modi, Chris Cairns, John Stephenson, Rob Turner (capt, wk), James Hamblin, Hamid Hassan, Paul Hutchison, Guy Bulpitt

Ball-by-ball commentary will be available from lords.org
