Profile
Rob White has long been considered a promising talent, but needs to start scoring the runs to justify this. In 2002, in only his fifth first-class match, White scored 277 against Gloucestershire, the highest maiden century score in the history of English first-class cricket. He has never threatened to reach these heights again, and has struggled to hold down a regular place in the side. 2006 was a particularly poor year for White as he played just seven Championship games and failed to reach 150 runs for the season. He remained a key part of Northants' one day set-up. Sam Collins September 2006
