Western Australia look to McLauchlan and Marsh

Brett Dorey will miss his second game with a toe injury and the lingering effects of a car crash have prevented Luke Pomersbach from appearing in Western Australia's season-deciding Pura Cup match against South Australia at Adelaide. Both players were absent during the Warriors' tight draw against Victoria at the weekend and the selectors retained the same line-up for Thursday's contest.

A WACA spokesman said there were doubts over Pomersbach's ability to play a full game after his accident. Danny McLauchlan, who picked up five wickets on debut, and Shaun Marsh will have another opportunity to impress after holding their spots. South Australia, who are a distant last, did not make any alterations to the squad beaten by Tasmania on Sunday.

Western Australia begin the match on 24 points and need an outright win to overtake New South Wales, who can seal their passage to the decider with victory over Tasmania. The Tigers have already secured a place in the final and can ensure hosting rights by defeating the Blues. The Warriors are level on points with Victoria, who face Queensland at the Gabba, but they have the easier fixture against the struggling South Australia.

Western Australia squad Justin Langer (capt), Luke Ronchi (wk), Chris Rogers, Marcus North, Adam Voges, Shaun Marsh, Clint Heron, David Bandy, Aaron Heal, Steve Magoffin, Ben Edmondson, Danny McLauchlan.

South Australia squad Jason Borgas, Daniel Harris, Darren Lehmann (capt), Mark Cosgrove, Callum Ferguson, Shane Deitz (wk), Nathan Adcock, Ryan Harris, Jason Gillespie, Dan Cullen, Cullen Bailey, Paul Rofe.
