Transco averages has South Africans riding high

Keith Lane

July 11, 2002

If the latest release of the Lancashire Transco League averages is anything to go by then the South Africans are having a bumper year in the minor leagues and the Northern Titans players preparing well for the coming domestic season.

Martin van Jaarsveld, fourth in last months batting averages, has moved into the third spot while Jacques Rudolph has climbed from nineteenth to fourth. Pierre Joubert has slipped from third to fifth while Andre Seymore jumped from thirteenth to sixth. Andrew Hall holds the eleventh spot.

In the bowling division Charl Langeveldt still holds the fourth spot with van Jaarsveld sixth but fourth leading wicket taker with 29 scalps. Con de Lange holds the fourteenth spot and Paul Adams has climbed well up the ladder to seventeenth spot, but is now second leading wicket taker with 33 to his name. [ Report | Averages ]
