Help - Frequently Asked Questions

Before going ahead and mailing us at help@cricinfo.com
please make sure your question has not been answered below. We get many repetitive queries, so we are attempting to save some time for you, and us. If your question is not answered below, please feel free to mail us and we will do what we can. Make sure you get our email address correct - we have recieved emails forwarded from other organisations of similar names that were sent there due to a mistyped address. Also make sure you set your return address correctly in your mailer - many mail messages are replied to and don't reach the recipient because of this. We recommend that you look at the Guided Tour which gives you an idea of where information is stored on CricInfo.

Please give me the e-mail address of my favourite cricketer.

We are unfortunately unable to pass on e-mail messages to players or team management, and we do not maintain addresses (e-mail or otherwise) of individuals. We suggest you write to the parent cricketing organisation.

Where is the live scorecard of this game?

CricInfo attempts to cover as much international and domestic cricket as possible via a live scorecard. These scorecards refresh automatically every 1 - 3 minutes. If you are not seeing any change to the scorecard, this is due to circumstances beyond our control.

If you are having trouble with cards updating then use the reload/refresh feature of your browser. Our web site is at http://www.cricinfo.com/. We have servers around the world and will automatically direct you to the most appropriate cluster.

When is my favourite team playing next?

The latest schedules we have can be found in our "Forthcoming" section.

Can I link to CricInfo?

You certainly are welcome to link to our site! This page explains how to do so.

Why aren't you covering this game?

We are occasionally unable to provide coverage of all games we would like. However, please rest assured that we will endeavour to bring you a scorecard as soon as possible at the intervals or at the end of the game.

Audio and Video Coverage.

We cannot always provide live audio or video coverage of cricket. CricInfo works with 8 of the 10 Test playing boards, and acquires certain internet broadcast rights. However, it is not always possible to acquire or exercise these rights.

Naming conventions.

We get frequent mail concerning the naming conventions used for touring teams. Following the convention used by every reputable cricket publication we reserve the usage "England, India, Pakistan, Australia etc." for full international matches - Tests or one days. If a touring team is playing a non-international match we use "English XI, Indians, Pakistanis, Australians etc." This is purely a convention and not a mark of disrespect, or an error on our part.

If your question is not answered above, please feel free to mail us and we will do what we can
