 Profile

Bhathiya perera is one of the "lost generations "of talented players unable to break into the Sri Lankan national side. A stoutly built and stylish Right-hander, has impressive performances for the under 23 and the premier tournaments in 2001/02 and 2002/03.He is the highest runs gatherer in domestic tournaments in both years. Also a member of the `A' team, tours to South Africa and ICC six nation tournament in Namibia, New Zealand and UK, show just how much an asset he could have been. His Sri Lankan Clubs ,Colts Cricket Club, Colombo Cricket Club, Moors Sports Club and UK Clubs Denton west Cricket Club and Glossop CC have been the beneficiaries as he has scored heavily and consistently for all sides. He has also gone to the Australian Cricket Academy in Adelaide and India's Max Cricket Academy in Chennai for special training in leg spin bowling. He is a handy customer with the ball too, with his tight leg-breaks and is an excellent slip fielder.
