 Profile

Naumanullah has been one of the most prolific run-scorers in Pakistan's domestic circuit since making his debut in 1995. Born in Karachi, Naumanullah chose to appear for Hyderabad in his maiden first-class season and scored two half-centuries. It wasn't until he appeared for REDCO Pakistan Limited in 1999-2000 that the right-hand middle-order batsman made his presence felt. Scoring 642 at over 71 with a highest of 171 not out, Naumanullah never looked back. The following season saw him cross the 800-mark as he turned out for Karachi Blues. He scored an astonishing 955 runs four seasons later and went past the 1000-run mark halfway through the 2007-08 season, in which he was named the best batsman in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. In January 2008, Naumanullah was given an opportunity against the touring Zimbabweans in a four-day match. Following an impressive 86, Naumanullah was named in Pakistan's 15-man squad for the final ODI against Zimbabwe in Sheikhupura.
