Siddiq Khan played once for Lahore as a wicketkeeper but really made his mark as an umpire and administrator. He stood in 187 first-class matches and three ODIs, and was the third official in three Tests and three ODIs before he retired at the end of 2006-07 suffering from ill health. Off the field he ran the Ludhiana Gymkhna club and worked for the Pakistan Customs.
