Profile
Nadeem Malik toured India with England Under-19s in 2000-01 and made his first-team
debut the following season, his first on the Trent Bridge staff - his first first-class wicket was that of Graeme Hick He was a member of England's squad for the 2002 Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand, but struggled with form and injury, taking only one wicket in the tournament. He doesn't possess extreme pace, his main attributes being his height
and the movement he generates in the air away from the right-handed batsman.
He moved to Worcestershire in 2004 but in four years there failed to make any real impression, and after a poor 2007 season he was released with one year of his contract remaining. Leicestershire saw something others couldn't and signed him on a one-year deal for 2008.
