Profile
Gamage was surprise replacement for Chaminda Vaas during the 2003 Sharjah
Cup, leapfrogging other, better-known pace bowlers. However, the tall
right-arm fast bowler, who bowls with a high action and good pace, has been
a consistent performer in the domestic scene since making his first-class
debut seven years ago, first playing for the Sinhalese Sports Club and now
Bloomfield Sports and Athletic Club. Predominantly moves the ball off the
seam. Genuine rabbit with the bat.
